Guidelines for Face Coverings (Masks)
The CDC and ODH provide comprehensive guidance for the use of face coverings to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Wearing a face mask can help to reduce the spread of respiratory illness and may decrease the chances of needing to close schools.

Face masks are required per ODH orders. Each family needs to have their child practice wearing a mask prior to the start of school and plan sending extra masks to school each day in case they would need to replace one during school day.

Please visit our BCLSD Plan of Action to Reset and Restart Education for exemptions as outlined by the ODH order. Please submit exemptions authorized by a health professional to the school nurse by Friday, August 21st.

Above is a checklist for families to use as a reference in identifying symptoms of COVID-19.
Above is a Daily Home Screening Checklist. We are asking families to assess students daily for symptoms of COVID-19 and follow the guidelines provided. Keep your child home if they are ill.

CDC Travel Advisories for the State of Ohio
Positivity rate is an indicator of how wide-spread COVID-19 is in a community, and ODH is recommending against travel to those states with high positivity. If someone must travel, ODH is recommending 14 days of self-quarantine after leaving those locations. This advisory is intended for both leisure and business travel, and should be heeded by both Ohioans and out-of-state travelers. If the state you are traveling to becomes listed during your travel, please adhere to the guidelines.

The list of states will be updated every week on Wednesday. Based on a 7-day rolling average of positivity rates of August 5, the affected states are:
MS 25.8%, AL 19.9%, NV 19.0%, FL 18.2%, AZ 18.1%, and ID 17.5%.
