Bay Area Energy Efficiency Incentive Programs
The Bay Area Residential Energy Network's Single Family programs have been working with individual Bay Area counties to conduct outreach about programs available to homeowners and contractors:

  • BayREN Home+ Measures - $400 rebate for efficient gas water heaters (tank or tankless) and a $1,000 rebate for heat pump water heaters
  • Regional CCA Electrification Rebates - CCAs are offering a $1,000 rebate that goes directly to the installer which can be stacked on the Home+ rebate
  • CCA HPWH Timelines - Map showing when each CCA will be coming online with their $1,000 rebate

LA Issues Face Covering Order

Contractors State License Board Launches New Online License/Registration Renewal Options

The Contractors State License Board (CSLB) launched two different options for Sole Owner licenses without a Responsible Managing Employee (RME) and all other licensees and all HIS registrants.

These options will allow California's more than 283,600 licensed contractors and almost 21,000 registered Home Improvement Salespersons (HIS) to either renew their license, or to pay for their license or registration renewal online via CSLB's website.

Essential Businesses Must Implement Social Distancing Protocols
The Sacramento County Health Officer Extends COVID-19 Order

All essential businesses shall prepare a "Social Distancing Protocol" for their facilities. Public health provided a Social Distancing Protocol form as Appendix A to the Public Health Order.

A copy of the protocol must be provided to each employee performing work at the facility and businesses must provide evidence of its implementation to any authority enforcing the Order.

New CISA Guidance for Construction
The Department of Homeland Security Issues Additional Guidance on Who is an "Essential" Construction Worker

CISA issued new guidance that identifies specific areas where construction workers will typically be considered "essential" and therefore, can work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

CISA initially released guidelines on March 19 in response to shelter-in-place orders issued by the governors of California, New York, and Illinois.
