Welcome to California Coastal Cleanup MONTH! This year, California Coastal Cleanup begins at everyone’s front doors. Tens of thousands of Californians will help keep our beaches and waterways free of debris by cleaning within their own neighborhoods while staying safe and maintaining distance from others outside their households. Trash travels through storm drains, creeks, and rivers to become beach and ocean pollution, so Californians can make a real difference to the health of the coast by removing trash before it has a chance to become marine debris.
Tune in Friday at NOON on The California Coast FACEBOOK page for a Coastal Cleanup Kickoff Chat with Coastal Cleanup leaders from across California.
Join representatives of the Coastal Commission and local organizers across California to get a glimpse at what the new cleanup model will look like in different parts of our state. Organizers have been working hard since March to re-imagine how to run the cleanup during these difficult times. Leaders from around the state will explain what is happening in their region, and how you can help!
