The Faces of Avondale House: a social media campaign during the month of April.

Autism is the fastest-growing developmental disability in the United States. 1 in 54 children are diagnosed in the U.S. each year but what do these statistics mean for those living with autism, as well as their families and the professionals who work with them?

April is Autism Awareness month and Avondale House will be sharing the experiences of those in our community touched by autism. Be on the lookout for a very special social media campaign showcasing the faces of autism. We will be sharing personal stories from families, teachers, clients, and students. Make sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook to hear them all!
From Our House to Yours

Please join us virtually on April 24th at 6:30 pm for a compelling discussion of the challenges and triumphs of autism spectrum disorder. Join local community leaders as they weigh in, and learn how Avondale House is making a difference in the Houston autism community. Because the need is so great, expansion of our services is the goal of our upcoming virtual event. The event is free, however, registration is required.
Generator Fund

Avondale’s fourth house was recently opened, and we need to purchase a whole-house generator that will keep our residents and staff safe when we have severe weather, like the winter storm that occurred last month.

Will you help us to reach our goal of $15,000 for this capital purchase?  While we hope that the winter weather is over, we have hurricane season right around the corner. Thank you for giving generously!
Team Member of the Month:

Anita Anderson is Avondale's Team Member of the Month! Anita greatly cares for each of her clients as if they are her own children. She is always happy to help when needed, especially with working extra shifts to provide essential coverage. Anita provides exceptional care and continues to grow professionally.
