FACIALS AND WAXING ARE FOR MEN TOO
Some people think skin services are for women only, but my numerous male clients know better. Men care about their appearance and also want and need products designed for their individual skin needs. In addition to the usual conditions women experience, men often have shaving concerns and irritation. Their mustache/beard needs attention as does the skin underneath.

Due to the marketing approach of many retailers and manufacturers though, men are often under the impression that the more aggressive they are with their skin, the better. They may have the notion that their skin is less fragile. Reality is that some of the cleansers and products "designed for men" contain abrasives, strong artificial fragrance, and ingredients that over-exfoliate the skin. Men's shaving products can be heavy in alcohol which can dry out and sensitize the skin. Men need a proper skin analysis too, along with a structured and guided approach to skincare. A customized skin treatment and an easy, well-planned recommendation for home care will provide clean, healthy, and smooth skin. Your skin represents you all of your life. Take care of it and it will take care of you. You deserve it!
Do men really get their brows waxed, trimmed, shaped, and tinted?

They do! Rarely does a man prefer to have a unibrow or hairs extending in all directions. They can be trimmed and neatly shaped and waxed so they remain looking very manly. And when the grey hairs start to pop out, they can be tinted.
Will Waxing Cause Wrinkles?

Wrinkles happen due to a plethora of factors. Waxing is not one of them. Wrinkles are naturally more prone on the lips and brows because the skin is more delicate and thinner in those areas. That is why it is important to receive waxing services from a professional who has been properly trained and uses correct techniques to protect the skin's barrier.

The esthetician must first consult with the client about any history of Accutane use or if using any topical form of Vitamin A, whether prescription Retin-A or over the counter retinol, or another topical or ingestible that may affect the skin's barrier.

The type and ingredients of the wax used are also very important. That's why I have three different waxes which allow me to consider the individual ingredients, the client's skin health, and the part of the body being waxed. We can't forget about the Pre and post-care too! They are an integral part of the wax service.

Summer may be coming to a close, but you can always Fall into your next waxing service.

HAPPY FALL!
