Faculty Advisor Newsletter

We are in the homestretch of the semester. In this edition of the Faculty Advisor Newsletter (FAN), we take a look at class registration days and our signature registration assistance event ROAR into Registration. Your Advising Community at Idaho State (AC@IS) continues to provide professional development activities and will recognize excellence in advising in May. New Student Orientation (NSO) experiences for our incoming class will begin in May as well.

Sincerely,

AC@IS

Join us for an upcoming NACADA Webinar scheduled for April 30th from 12-1pm in the Bengal Theater. This webinar dives into the topic of “Small Fish in a Big Pond: Advising Rural Students at Large Institutions”. Research shows rural students enroll and persist in college at lower rates than their urban counterparts. The presenters will share best practices and experience in supporting students from small towns.

For those who were unable to attend our March webinar, you can access the recording until May 15th. Additional resources and materials from past events can be found in our dedicated Professional Development folder in Box.
