Lucy Jewel
By invitation, on December 2, Professor Lucy Jewel attended a planning meeting at Duke Law School’s Center for Law, Race, and Politics regarding the Critical Legal Collective, an organization dedicated to amplifying critical thought in legal education and the legal profession. Professor Jewel is involved in planning the organization’s inaugural conference in April as well as the organization’s new AALS section.
On December 5, Lucy Jewel presented at an appellate e-filing Webinar sponsored by the Tennessee Bar Association’s Appellate Practice Section. Professor Jewel covered technical brief formatting skills relating to internal and external hyperlinks, tables of authorities, and tables of contents. She also discussed best practices for writing to legal audiences who have shifted from reading hard-copy briefs to reading on laptops and tablets.
