The Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL) and the Office of International Affairs (OIA) invite you to join the first Virtual International Exchange (VIE) Community of Practice workshop of the fall semester, Wednesday, September 25, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in EWFM 520, with an option to join remotely. Lunch will be provided for in-person attendees, and if you register virtually we will send you a Zoom link a day before the workshop. This session will be an introduction to VIE, how it benefits students, faculty, and research partnerships as well as highlight the experiences of our faculty that have utilized VIE in the classroom. This event is open to anyone interested in VIE, no matter where you are in the planning process! Please RSVP by Monday, September 23.

On Wednesday, October 16, and Thursday, October 17, 2024, the second General Assembly of the United States Section of the Scholars at Risk Network (SAR) will be held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, hosted at Carnegie Mellon University in partnership with the University of Pittsburgh. The 1.5-day conference includes plenaries, panels, and working sessions in the Cohon University Center at Carnegie Mellon (in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood.)
