The Office of International Affairs sponsors Faculty Internationalization Grants to support Lehigh faculty members seeking to develop or enhance international teaching and research collaborations.

“Prior planning promotes peak performance.” Using technology when traveling can be challenging. We will help you think about and prepare for successful and stress-free use of technology available from Lehigh while traveling within the U.S. or abroad, with a focus on security and connectivity.

The Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL) and the Office of International Affairs (OIA) invite you to join the first Virtual International Exchange (VIE) Community of Practice workshop of the fall semester, Wednesday, September 25, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in EWFM 520, with an option to join remotely. Lunch will be provided for in-person attendees, and if you register virtually we will send you a Zoom link a day before the workshop. This session will be an introduction to VIE, how it benefits students, faculty, and research partnerships as well as highlight the experiences of our faculty that have utilized VIE in the classroom. This event is open to anyone interested in VIE, no matter where you are in the planning process! Please RSVP by Monday, September 23.

Lehigh University faculty who are traveling internationally for research, conferences, or other purposes can now connect with Lehigh alumni through our new initiative, On the Road with the Future Makers. If you're interested in hosting a dinner, giving a talk, engaging a global partner, or any other outreach efforts, please sign up for more information here. We're open to a wide range of engagement ideas, but each application will be subject to approval from the Office of International Affairs.

On Wednesday, October 16, and Thursday, October 17, 2024, the second General Assembly of the United States Section of the Scholars at Risk Network (SAR) will be held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, hosted at Carnegie Mellon University in partnership with the University of Pittsburgh. The 1.5-day conference includes plenaries, panels, and working sessions in the Cohon University Center at Carnegie Mellon (in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood.)
