Virtual Learning Environment
To provide an effective learning environment, set expectations and ground rules early. This is essential for any classroom setting. There are countless distractions with online learning.
Non-Compliance with Required Facial Covering/Mask
Everyone who comes to an ACC campus or center must follow health and safety protocols to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19. This includes wearing a facial covering or mask. These guidelines can be found at: austincc.edu/protocols.
Faculty may use the Conduct Notification Report to notify a dean/associate dean of Student Affairs of incidents where a student has refused multiple times to wear a facial covering or mask.
Academic Integrity and Testing Services Violations
Students are expected to maintain a high standard of personal and scholarly conduct. Alleged violations and outcomes of an assignment or exam is determined by the faculty member. It is highly encouraged for faculty to report the violation and resolution of academic misconduct cases to the dean/associate dean of Student Affairs for documentation purposes.
Dismissing Students from Class
Faculty can dismiss a student from the learning environment for the day or request a student not return until he/she meets with the dean/associate dean of Student Affairs. Students should not be withdrawn from class for disciplinary action without receiving proper due process.
