The Fair Lawn Community Relations Advisory Committee invites neighbors, LBTQIA+ community members, allies, and friends to celebrate the beautiful diversity of our families with us! 
 
Join us on Sunday, June 26 from 12:30pm through 4:30pm for a family-friendly Pride Block Party outside the Fair Lawn Municipal Building on Parmelee Ave for our:
  • LGBTQ+ Community Resource Fair
  • Arts and Crafts with the Fair Lawn Arts Council
  • Opening /Closing Ceremonies with Speakers and Music
  • Drag Queen Story Time & Bingo Brunch
  • Fair Lawn Pride Chorus 
 
This event is free thanks to our Committee as well as our generous local sponsors: Columbia Bank, The Zamir Group, Cozie Cafe, Hot Bagels, The Cohen Group, and Nicole Romanik Real Estate. 
 
RSVPs are encouraged, but not required, so that we can plan accordingly.
 
Further, you can start June off in spirit by joining our pride flag raising on June 2nd at 6pm! It will also take place outside the Municipal Building.

Fair Lawn Dog Park to Open
Fair Lawn dogs now have something new to wag their tails about. Fair Lawn’s Dog Park will open on Monday, May 9, 2022. The park will be opened daily from dawn until dusk and is subject to closure by the Borough at any time. Please park by Memorial Pool or behind Memorial Middle School.

The Fair Lawn Dog Park is situated behind the two street hockey courts at Memorial Park. The park has two areas, one for large dogs (over 30 lbs) and a separate area dedicated to small dogs (under 30 lbs).

This park is dedicated to fun and exercise activities with your dog. Dogs may run off leash within the confines of the fenced area. For the safety and comfort of all dogs, owners and handlers, please follow these rules of conduct:  

  • Dogs must be on a leash until inside the enclosure and must never be left unattended.
  • Secure both gates upon entering and exiting the park.
  • Dogs must have current vaccinations.
  • Dogs in heat or sick are prohibited to enter the park.
  • Dogs must be at least 4 months of age to enter park.
  • All children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult when inside the park.
  • Food, beverages and glass containers are prohibited in the park.
  • Owners and handlers must pick up your dog’s waste and dispose of in the receptacles provided.
  • Animals other than dogs are prohibited.
  • Owners and handlers are responsible and liable for the actions and behavior of their dogs at all times. 
  • Aggressive dogs must be removed immediately. 
  • To report aggressive dogs or bites, please contact the Police at 201-796-1400. In an emergency, please call 9-1-1.
  • Comments and concerns, please contact the Parks Department at 201-796-6746 during normal business hours.
