It's "Fair" Time on the Oregon Farm Loop!
|
The Clackamas County Fair & Rodeo, a member of the Canby Farm Loop, kicks off on August 14, and runs until the 18th. The 14th is Fred Meyer Family Day, and the 15th is Portland Spirit Senior Citizens Day - check out their website for more info on what that entails!
In honor of one of our favorite annual events, we have some "fair"-minded ideas for fun this coming month on the Oregon Farm Loop.
On the Farmlandia Farm Loop
- Make it a family af"fair" and join Our Table Cooperative for Family Yoga in the Field! Running from 10-10:45am on 8/4 and 8/18
On the Canby Farm Loop
On the Molalla Farm Loop
- Get the fairest flowers of all at the Molalla Farmers Market, which takes place every Thursday in August (and September) from 3-7pm!
On the Marion Farm Loop
- Be fair to your ears and listen to some great live music this month! E.Z. Orchards Farm Market will feature bluegrass music from Roundhouse in the Lavender Garden on 8/4, and Americana music from Slipshod on 8/25 - free to attend and enjoy!

Swan Island Dahlias Annual Dahlia Festival, Aug. 25-27 & Sept. 1-3
Come join Swan Island Dahlias for their
biggest event of the year! Free to attend, the event features live music, food & wine, and of course, plenty of demos on arranging and dividing dahlias. Fresh cut dahlias will also be available daily for purchase. On the Canby Farm Loop. 8am-6pm daily.

Willamette Valley Vineyards

Pinot & Pups Vineyard Tours
will be happening every Saturday in August from 9-10:30am on the Estate Lawn and Vineyards. H
ear stories about their classic Oregon wines, the growing cycle of their vineyard and fun facts about dogs in the wine industry. $30/person with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Willamette Humane Society. Admission includes tastings, wine credit and a snack box for you and your pup. On the

Adult Farm Camp at Our Table Cooperative, August 18
Located on the
Farmlandia Farm Loop, Our Table Cooperative is hosting Session 2 of their
Adult Farm Camp on 8/18 from 12-4pm (you needn't have attended Session 1). This session will focus on harvesting & preserving, and you'll leave with new ideas for your garden, new recipes and DIY skills. Cost is $80 to attend and includes beautiful garden journal, materials and food & beverages throughout camp.

on the Oregon Farm Loop - take advantage!

10th Annual Wine & Swine at Terra Vina Vineyards
- August 18, 12-6pm
A fabulous event at their Wilsonville location - they do a Carlton Farms whole roasted pig, fabulous accompaniments by Bon Apetit, Newberg & live entertainment.
Tickets are $30/person.
August Farm to Fork Dinner at E.Z. Orchards - August 18, 6-9pm
Join E.Z. Orchards for a delicious and beautiful meal from the bounty of the Willamette Valley, prepared by Chef Daryl Gossack. The dinner will consist of six courses, each paired with a cider or wine. You will be seated at a long table in an apple orchard.
Tickets are $90/person.
Field & Vine is once again hosting some amazing
Dinners in the Field
events at some of our Farm Loop locations. Stroll through the farm, glass in hand, guided by tales from the vine and root. Then relax into six courses celebrating locally farm-grown produce and wine.
Meals range from $90-100 per person, including courses, wine and gratuity.
