Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Happy New Year from us at FairTSA! We hope the year will bring you fruitful opportunities and good health! In the coming year, we are excited to strengthen our relationships with our current partners and welcome new ones into our community. We are so grateful for your continued support.

I am writing this from Prague, CZ, where the weather has been much colder than usual with lots of snow! I have just hit my one year mark at FairTSA, and it has been incredible being a part of such a wonderful organization and to bring my skills to help move the mission forward.

In this newsletter we will be talking about our upcoming trip to Biofach in Nuremberg, Germany. Our primary objectives are to deepen our engagement in the field, strengthen existing partnerships, and create new collaborations. We also highlight Elite Naturels community development projects from 2024 - 2025. They constructed a handicraft youth learning center and foreign language school in Turkey.

Producer Highlight: Elite Naturel Organic Turkey

Elite Naturel Organic Turkey is a longstanding FairTSA partner with an extraordinary commitment for the rural communities where they work. In the past, they have already build a complete school for more than 200 students, the majority of whom are girls. Their projects in 2025 and 2025 include two new training centers.

Based on a need assessment by the community near Adana in Southern Turkey they are building a handicrafts training center for women of low-income households. The goal is to train at least 100 women in the first year of operation and provide them with the technical, organizational and business skills to run their own operations.

The second project in Sinop, close to the shores of the Black Sea, is a foreign language center for young adults. This center will provide modern language-learning tools and instructions for English and a second language to be chosen. Both projects are structured for long-term success and include funds for instructors and maintenance. We congratulate the whole Elite Naturel Organic Turkey Team, the communities in Adana and Sinop, and the team leader Hasan Huseyin Cevizdali, for their commitment to creating opportunities in pursuit of a more equitable society.
