The Monthly Insight April 2025 Newsletter

From the President:

From the President:

Hi there! The weather could not be more supportive for the art lovers! I hope some of you got the chance to enjoy the blossoms of the season and be creative.

A lot of events took place in the month of March. FAL hosted a free workshop with artist Eric Westbrook at Green Acres center. The free workshop was facilitated through grant received from the City of Fairfax-Commission on the Arts. Art Collaborator's club initiative seemed like just the venue we all needed to unwind and talk about art. In the coming months we hope to have partnerships with the local businesses in the area to have more events.

Take a look through the April event offering as there are plenty of events for you to stay busy. Please participate in the upcoming art shows, art receptions and art contests. Last but not the least, stay tuned for Workshop events. We post them through Eventbrite. Next workshop is with Artist Karina Mosser on April 12th. Lets keep creating!

Warm regards,

Swapna Parab

FAL President

Art Collaborators Club

What a great time the Collaborators Club had on March 28th! At High Side restaurant, everyone enjoyed good food and drinks, plus some really interesting talks about each other's art and gave each other some great critiques.

Join a group of enthusiastic artists for a free meet up where we all can share our ideas, tips and tricks and encourage each other. Bi-Monthly gatherings will be held at City of Fairfax Local businesses on a regular schedule. You are not alone if you are stuck, have doubts about how to proceed, and struggling to carve out time for your art. We will discuss the creative process, provide feedback on artwork and create an energetic artist community.

Feel free to bring along your work in progress or completed artwork for feedback. This platform is for all skill levels, and all types of art practice. Bring your own sketching supplies, art ideas and lots of enthusiasm.
