CHAMBER SNAPSHOT - August 2, 2023

It is time to get things kicked off for our 2023-24 Leadership Fairfield Class. We are working out the final details, but if you are interested in participating, please complete the form on our website www.fairfieldchamber.com so we can send you more details. The class will run from September through May, meeting once a month for a portion of the day. Leadership Fairfield has been going strong for over 25 years and is designed to create an understanding of how the community works, increase leadership skills, and provide an incentive for leadership.

Last Thursday was our Quarterly Business Roundtable on Violence in the Workplace. A huge thank you to Officer Larry Green for presenting. Look for our next roundtable in October!

Have a GREAT week!

Peggy

PS. Last week we asked if anyone knew who these people were and a few days later Kristin found a news article that helped us identify them! They are Charles N. Vance and Virginia Blauvelt. Virginia passed away in 2005 but her obituary notes that she was the first female Chamber of Commerce Executive Secretary in Ohio.

The American Lung Association is saving lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. We were founded over 115 years ago by a group of volunteers dedicated to ending the lung health threat at the time: tuberculosis. With TB largely controlled in the United States, we have extended that mission to other respiratory diseases. And thanks to our donors, volunteers, program and event participants, and staff, we are America's trusted source for lung health education, lung disease research, support, programs, services and advocacy.

The Women's Health Fair aims to empower and educate women on various aspects of their well-being. Our keynote speaker will be Melissa Jensen, PhD, a renowned expert in the field of mental health. Dr. Jensen will deliver a compelling talk, shedding light on critical topics related to mental wellness and offering invaluable advice on maintaining a healthy mind.
