A Connected Community in Action!

Last Wednesday, we welcomed business and community leaders to our second annual Focus on Fairfield, where we heard from City Manager Scott Timmer and Fairfield Township Administrator Kim Lapensee about the accomplishments, challenges and opportunities shaping our community.

Our theme this year was A Connected Community, and looking around the room, I couldn't think of a better example! Bringing together businesses, local government and community partners to share information, build relationships and look toward the future is exactly what the Chamber is all about.

A huge thank-you to our speakers, sponsors, volunteers and everyone who joined us. We appreciate your continued commitment to making Fairfield a great place to live, work and do business.

Couldn't attend? We livestreamed the event! You can watch the presentations on the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce Facebook page. It's a great opportunity to catch up on what's happening in both the City and Township.

And if you were there, see if you can spot yourself in a few of our photos!

Have a great week!

Peggy

Planning for Ohio's Economic and Energy Future

The Fairfield Chamber has been part of two important conversations about Ohio's future growth and the infrastructure needed to support it. Last week Peggy participated in a statewide webinar hosted by Chambers for Innovation and Clean Energy (CICE), highlighting Fairfield's new 1.5-megawatt solar array and the City's commitment to sustainability and long-term energy planning.

Yesterday, Peggy and Sara attended a presentation on the Ohio Blueprint for Economic Development, featuring Ohio Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Steve Stivers. The discussion focused on strategies for sustained economic growth, including workforce development, housing, business competitiveness and the increasing demand for reliable electricity.

Both conversations reinforced an important message: economic growth depends on having the infrastructure, energy resources and partnerships in place to support it. The Fairfield Chamber will continue to be part of these discussions, helping connect local businesses with the information and resources needed to prepare for the future.
