Fairfield County Safety Council
As One of the Highest Performing in the State


The Fairfield County Safety Council was new to the finalist category at the 2018 Ohio Safety Council Leaders Conference. Present at the event to accept the Honorable Mention award were the Chamber sponsor representatives Travis Markwood and Cheryl Barber and steering committee member Michelle Brock .

The Fairfield County Safety Council demonstrated a re-energized focus on programming, communication, management and consistency in membership and attendance growth last year.

The Fairfield County Safety Council, managed by the Lancaster/ Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce is one of 83 safety councils across the state sponsored by the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation's Division of Safety & Hygiene.

The 92-member Fairfield County Safety Council provides the local community with quality programs addressing occupational safety and health, workers' compensation and risk management education and information. The council also informs participants about new techniques, products and services, and provides a thorough knowledge of these services all in an effort to keep Fairfield County's work places as safe as possible.
