Fairfield County Workforce Center Hosts Project Lead the Way

Earlier this month, the Fairfield County Workforce Center had the pleasure of hosting Project Lead the Way for educators striving to learn best practices to meet their STEM goals. The Workforce staff joined partners from Ohio University and Hocking College in learning, brainstorming, and networking ideas that will help teachers develop a curriculum for a STEM-powered world. 

Drought Relief Funding: Sign-Up Period Ends April 1

Fairfield Soil and Water Conservation District is accepting applications from farmers until April 1. Most applicants will have to fill out a W-9. Department Spotlight: Emergency Management

March 17 - March 21 was Severe Weather Awareness Week. In observance of that week, the department spotlight is Fairfield County Emergency Management Agency. This department plays a vital role in keeping the community safe by preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disasters. Whether it's severe weather, hazardous materials incidents, or other emergencies, their team works to coordinate resources, provide critical information, and support first responders. Fairfield County Workforce Center: Explore Summer Camps

With the support of amazing partners at Ohio University, Hocking College, Community Action, and Lancaster City Schools - students involved in Fairfield County Workforce Center's EXPLORE Summer Camps will dive into exciting career pathways in advanced manufacturing, healthcare, and construction. This FREE camp is open to Fairfield County students entering grades 6, 7, and 8 in the 2025-2026 school year.
