Letter from Robert
Compound Interest
Dear Friends,
When I was a child my dad talked with me about saving money each week from my allowance. He explained…and showed me on his Commodore 64 computer, that over time a small regular deposit would grow to a sizeable amount. The interest, added to the principal, and reinvested, would help the investment grow. Ah – the miracle of compound interest! Of course, that is more difficult with low interest rates, but the point I want to make is that relationships, I think, work on the same principal.
Our Parent Meeting this Sunday evening will focus on how we invest regularly, over time, in the lives of our children. We have a limited amount of time with them, but if we invest regularly and with interest and intention, that investment of time will grow and will have an amazing impact in our children’s lives. It will also have an amazing impact on us and our family life.
Don’t fret over the time you are losing, but invest, with intention and care, in the lives of your children and other loves ones. Spend time with them over the course of time, and the payoff will be extraordinary. Remember – The Parent Meeting is each Sunday evening at 5:30 pm in the DCPC Parlor while youth group is going on. Hope to see you there!
 To God be the Glory!
P.S. Our 2018 PLEDGE GOAL is still $1.45 Million !! 313 family units have pledged nearly $1.35 MILLION to the ministry of DCPC in 2018.  There are still more than 200 families who have not pledged . IF YOU HAVE NOT YET SUBMITTED YOUR PLEDGE PLEASE DO SO TODAY?? Even if you don’t know what you can give – let us know that you plan to give something! PLEASE EMAIL Trish Jones at pjones@dcpc.org to give her your 2018 expected giving.  We can reach our goal if everyone on the TEAM does their part!  We can succeed with God’s help and your pledge!
