Highlights of the Past 2 Months
March & April in Review
In March, we wrapped up our
Hypothermia Prevention and Response Program. Because of the support of over 30 partnering faith communities, individuals were moved from homelessness to housing and over 500 individuals were given shelter, a hot meal, laundry services, beauty services, entertainment, companionship, and so much more. The over 3,000 volunteers who served over 29,400 hours helped ensure hundreds of lives were saved during the winter season. We are so thankful for your support - you are truly making a difference in our community.
Additionally, we were so happy to have
Capital One and
Virginia Roofing Corporation join us again this year for the
Education and Community Development Field Day in Annandale where over 100 youth were present. The Fairfax County Police also joined us and allowed the kids to sit in the back seat, turn on the sirens and learn about the equipment that's kept in the trunk of a police car. The youth enjoyed a day of games, an Easter egg hunt, face painting, and food. Thank you for your ongoing support!
