Tomorrow is the last day to request a mail-in ballot!

In Pennsylvania, you have two vote-by-mail options, but if you have not already requested and received a ballot, your best option for ensuring that your ballot is received and counted is to use on-demand mail ballot voting. The deadline to apply for a ballot in-person for the 2024 General Election is 5 p.m., tomorrow, Oct. 29.

If you are a registered Pennsylvania voter, you have the convenient option of applying for a mail ballot in person at your county elections office, then completing the ballot while there. In one visit, voters can apply for and submit their mail ballot.

You can vote in person by mail ballot at your county election office or other officially designated location. You may drop off your mail ballot in person until 8 p.m. on Election Day, so long as you have applied for it before the deadline. Again, the deadline to apply for a ballot in-person for the 2024 General Election is 5 p.m., tomorrow, Oct. 29.

Check your county's website for information.

What do I need to bring with me?

You will need your PennDOT ID number or the last 4 digits of your Social Security number. Please refer to the list of ID requirements for mail-in or absentee ballots for more information.

Deadlines for the Nov. 5, 2024 General Election

  • 5 p.m. Oct. 29, 2024: Your APPLICATION for a mail-in or absentee ballot must be received by your county election office.
  • 8 p.m. Nov. 5, 2024: Your COMPLETED BALLOT must be RECEIVED by your county election office. A postmark by that time is not sufficient.

Missed the Oct. 29 mail ballot application deadline? If you have an emergency--such as an unexpected illness or disability or a last-minute absence from your municipality on Election Day--you may still be able to receive a ballot. Find information about how to get an emergency absentee ballot.

Worship and Sermon Resources

Sermon Commentary - Subscribe to our Substack!

As a gift to preachers, we are writing commentaries for the two Sundays surrounding the November 5 election, to help tie our current context to the scriptures assigned in the Revised Common Lectionary. We hope this helps those tasked with preaching God’s Word to more faithfully speak to God’s disciples about the intersection of civic life and faith in this particular season in our society. All Saints Sunday's commentary is out now!

Worship Resources for a National Election

This resource is provided to assist congregations in this time surrounding a national election. The readings, prayers, and assembly song suggestions could be used in settings such as prayer vigils, as part of Morning or Evening Prayer, as part of regular weekly worship in the weeks preceding or following an election, or devotions at home or in other settings.

Interfaith Prayer Vigil - Via Zoom! Register at this link to join partners from across the Commonwealth next Monday to pray for peace and to support our election officials.
