Media Team Seeks New Volunteers

We're expanding and looking for passionate individuals to join our media team. No experience? No problem — volunteers will receive full training! If you're interested in video production and in helping Faith spread God’s word through online channels, this is your opportunity to get involved. Contact Carrie in the church office by calling or emailing officeadmin@faithlutheransrq.com

Church Directory Update

We are almost ready to release the 2025 Faith Lutheran Digital Pictorial Directory with

some printed copies. Thank you to everyone who filled out the new form of your personal preferences. There will be additional copies on the table in the Narthex along

with a basket to collect them in.

  • This form has a box for you to check if you haven’t logged into ICON CMO. If you check the box, you will receive an email with information on how to log in.
  • If you would like to have individual help using the church app; there is a box for that too.
  • Please read the Preference Form carefully to be sure we have everything correct.
  • If you haven’t had your picture taken you can contact the church to make an appointment to have it done, or you can submit a photo that may be useable in the directory. You can submit the photo to the email below or bring it to the church office to Carrie, our new Office Administrator.

Thank you for your patience! We’re almost ready! Lauren Wardach - LaurenFLCSRQ@gmail.com

Consider Donating to SURE

Sarasota United for Responsibility and Equity (SURE) is a faith-based ministry that equips volunteer leaders to engage with community stakeholders and government authorities to address disparities within our community, particularly those impacting the vulnerable. The organization’s mission is to foster a more just and equitable future for all residents. The lack of affordable housing and education disparities are the current priorities.

Pastor Eric and a number of other Faith volunteers provide time and talent to SURE, which also needs financial resources. Please consider a donation so SURE can continue its important work. If you use giving envelopes, you will find a special SURE envelope in your packet this month. You also can give online through the Online Giving page at faithlutheransrq.com.

Pray for Church Leaders, Summer Ministries, and the Downtrodden

6/6 Pray for the leaders, voting members and others gathering for the assemblies of the La Crosse Area; Metropolitan Washington, D.C.; Northeastern Iowa; Southern Ohio; and Southwestern Minnesota synods, that the Spirit will strengthen, guide and inspire them as they reflect on the mission of the church, choose leaders and encourage one another to proclaim the gospel and serve our neighbors in need.

6/7 Pray for the leaders, voting members and others gathering for the assemblies of the East-Central Synod of Wisconsin and Eastern North Dakota Synod, that the Spirit will strengthen, guide and inspire them as they reflect on the mission of the church, choose leaders and encourage one another to proclaim the gospel and serve our neighbors in need.

6/8 Day of Pentecost “The Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all that I have said to you” (John 14:26). We are never alone or forgotten. Give thanks to God that we have received the gift of the Spirit, who accompanies us throughout our baptismal journey.

6/9 Pray for summer ministries that serve congregations and their surrounding communities by sharing the gospel, stirring faith, providing day care and serving neighbors in need.

6/10 Ask God to help us nurture a new generation of leaders for our church, our communities and our nation — people of faith, wisdom, compassion, creativity and courage.

6/11 Pray for our neighbors and siblings in Christ who languish in jails, prisons, correctional facilities or immigration detention centers, that the Spirit will inspire their faith and hope and that they might access skilled legal, physical, spiritual and emotional care.

6/12 Pray for the leaders, voting members and others gathering for the assemblies of the Florida-Bahamas, Grand Canyon and South Carolina synods, that the Spirit will strengthen, guide and inspire them as they reflect on the mission of the church, choose leaders and encourage one another to proclaim the gospel and serve our neighbors in need.

6/13 Pray for the leaders, voting members and others gathering for the assemblies of the Northern Illinois, Northwestern Pennsylvania, Southwestern Washington, Upper Susquehanna, Virginia and Western Iowa synods, that the Spirit will strengthen, guide and inspire them as they reflect on the mission of the church, choose leaders and encourage one another to proclaim the gospel and serve our neighbors in need.
