With Gratitude from Pastor Marianne

Dear Siblings,

Please accept my gratitude for your caring, concern, and mostly for your prayers. I truly felt wrapped in your love and God’s healing power. I’m not 100% yet, but should be back soon. In the meantime, please continue to pray and to continue to love and support one another.

The family of Faith is truly a special place.

In Christ,

Pastor Marianne

Help Us Meet the Growing Need at Our Food Pantry

We’ve been experiencing a significantly increased demand at our food pantry, and at times, we are unable to source quality animal protein through All Faith's Food Bank. When this happens, we purchase additional protein products to ensure that our families continue to receive nutritious food. However, these extra purchases are putting a strain on our budget.

If you have the capacity and willingness to contribute a little extra to our general fund during this time of high demand, your support would go a long way in helping us continue to serve our community with dignity and compassion.

Thank you for standing with us.

Vision Task Force Initiative

Please stay tuned! The Vision Task Force at Faith Lutheran will be hosting a series of Temple Talks, designed to share insights and spark conversation about the future direction of our ministry and community life. These talks will be followed by Focus Group Discussions where we can discern together where God is leading our congregation. All are encouraged to participate.

Worship To Go Needs You

Worship to Go needs additional helpers! You can participate on the following days and times:

10:45 a.m., Tuesday, July 8, at The Barclay, 3260 Lake Pointe Blvd.

1:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 15, at Angels Senior Living, 5750 Honore Ave.

10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 29, at Aravilla Sarasota, 3251 Proctor Road.

Volunteers will meet in the chapel and can carpool to the facility (30 minutes prior). To join in, contact Pastor Eric directly, 716-352-0055, or show up at the chapel. No experience necessary!

Pray for our country, our church

and the world

7/4 Independence Day Give thanks for the freedom we enjoy in our country. Promise to be responsible with that freedom and attentive to those marginalized by poverty, prejudice, persecution, unjust laws or malevolent ideologies.

7/5 “Insofar as a Christian is free, no works are necessary. Insofar as a Christian is a servant, all kinds of works are done” (Martin Luther, The Freedom of a Christian). Praise God for freeing us from sin through the redeeming love of Jesus Christ. Ask the Spirit to inspire our service, our acts of kindness and mercy, and our praise for God, the true source of absolute freedom.

7/6 God sends us into the world equipped to share the gospel, care for neighbors in need, inspire hope and strive for justice and healing. Give thanks for the strength and encouragement we receive from our church, our faith communities and our siblings in Christ.

7/7 Pray for the ELCA Domestic Mission unit and its renewal team, which help synods to equip congregations for engaging in renewal ministry and for growing as vibrant and diverse communities of faith.

7/8 Give thanks for community gardens that feed our neighbors, and pray for the people who tend them with love and purpose.

7/9 Pray for people traveling this summer, that they will be enriched by their experiences, filled with awe at creation, and inspired to share the good news of Jesus Christ everywhere they go.

7/10 Pray for the ELCA stewardship leaders network, which grows well-equipped mission interpreters, stewardship key leaders, ventures steward leaders and stewardship coaches to serve as resources for congregations and nurture generosity across the church.

7/11 “Let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up. So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all and especially for those of the family of faith” (Galatians 6:9-10). Pray for our nation, that we will be renewed in our resolve to uplift neighbors who are excluded, forgotten or ignored.
