Faith Families:

On Wednesday, we are blessed to celebrate veterans as we come together in chapel. The sacrifice our veterans and current servicemen make to protect and preserve freedom in our country and world through their vocation is honored and we have the opportunity to thank them. What a blessing!

As we honor our veterans, may we also remember the sacrifice given when Jesus willingly went to the cross for us. He provided the once and for all rescue that each of us need when He rose again three days later. We certainly don’t deserve this gift, and He gave it willingly out of love for us. May we live our lives in the knowledge of this ultimate gift Jesus gave, as we celebrate those who serve our country.

Thanks be to God for His sacrifice, and for those who continue to sacrifice through their vocation and service!

Veterans Day

Faith School and Touching Hearts will celebrate Veterans Day on Wednesday, November 11th during a special chapel service starting at 9:00am. All veterans are invited to join us for chapel which will include a program for our Veteran guests! Afterward, we invite our Veterans to stay for a panel discussion to share about their experiences with students before enjoying some treats. Come for the chapel service, stay for the discussion, and enjoy some sweet treats on Wednesday, November 11th from 9:00 - 10:30am. 

No registration needed; we’re excited to celebrate with you!

Heathy Children Play Outside

It is the practice of Faith Lutheran School to have students play outdoors unless obvious weather conditions prevent us from going outside to play. Please be sure students are prepared to play outside with appropriate clothing for the weather conditions (coats, hats & gloves). If there is snow on the ground, students will need boots and snow suits/pants to play in the snow!

School Age Childcare Sign Up

Faith K-5 does not have school on November 25th. Please sign up HERE if you will need childcare that day. Deadline to sign up is next Friday, Nov 13th.

Trivia Night

Get ready for a night of fun and a little friendly competition at our Trivia Night on Nov. 13th, doors open at 6:30pm, Trivia starts at 7pm!

Whether you’re a trivia master or just in it for the fun, there’s something for everyone!

Gather your team of up to 8 players for $100 per team. Bringing a crock pot? Reserve a table with electricity for $125. Don’t have a full team? No problem! You can also sign up as a couple or individual, and we’ll help create the ultimate team for you.

Bring your own snacks and non-alcoholic drinks.

Picture Retake Day

Picture retake day is scheduled for the morning of November 18th. All students who were absent for the September picture day will have their picture taken. Students who are not interested in ordering pictures still need to have their picture taken for the yearbook.

If you are not happy with your student's picture and would like it retaken, make sure to tell the office you would like retakes for your student.

Mom's Workout Group

Join our Mom’s Workout Group, a fun and supportive way to get moving while the kids are at school! The group meets during school hours, offering a perfect opportunity to prioritize your health and connect with others. We meet on Tuesdays at 2:45. If you’re interested, reach out to Mrs. Jena Birt at jbirt@faithlincoln.org for more details. Let’s make this school year a fit and fabulous one together! 

Thanksgiving Pies

The Thanksgiving pie order form is now open, so it’s time to pick your favorites and check dessert off your holiday to-do list.

Order forms can be found at the Church, School, and Touching Hearts offices. Completed forms may be returned to any of these offices. You can also order online: PIE ORDER

All proceeds go directly to support the Special Education Endowment at Faith Lutheran School, helping us continue to support every child in their learning journey.

Pies will be ready for pickup at Faith on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 25. Skip the baking, enjoy a delicious homemade pie, and support a wonderful cause. It’s a win-win for your Thanksgiving table!

Let’s Pack 200 Shoeboxes!

Thank you for your generosity! We are making great progress collecting items for our Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes!

We still have a great need for hygiene items (washcloths, combs, and brushes) and school supplies (notebooks, scissors, erasers, and glue sticks).

You can use the Amazon Link to buy items from our wish list and get them sent directly to the school. Every donation helps us share Christ’s love with children around the world!

Turkey Trot: On Saturday, Nov. 21st Lincoln Lutheran will hold their 6th annual Turkey Trot on LL campus. This is a 2 mile run/walk event with a kids campus lap at 8:30am and the race starting at 8:45am. For more information and to sign up click HERE.
