Good news….

 

Our congregation has recently received a legacy gift from Our Savior Lutheran Church of Thomaston. While there is sorrow in the closing of

yet another congregation, we are pleased to continue their legacy here

at Faith.

 

The council has been discussing possible uses for the $ 30,000.00 gift.

At this time, it has been decided that $ 3,000.00 of those funds be applied to the steeple restoration fund. With that, our $ 8,500.00 goal has been met. Other uses (including meeting current expenses) will be determined in the future.

 

A letter of thanks and encouragement has been sent to the people of

Our Savior.

As God calls us to pray for one another, there is solace in community. The more we understand what we’re going through, the more we can comfort one another and share experiences. Pastor Chris encourages mutual prayer and care but without being intrusive. She would also like those making additions and deletions to the list to have the loved one’s permission to do so.
