Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

As God calls us to pray for one another, there is solace in community. The more we understand what we’re going through, the more we can comfort one another and share experiences. Pastor Chris encourages mutual prayer and care but without being intrusive. She would also like those making additions and deletions to the list to have the loved one’s permission to do so.

NEW FAITH TEAM NEEDED

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you

gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me. Mt. 25:35

We all know that having food and drink at any occasion refreshes us and builds relationships. Jesus’ ministry often involved food. Now it’s time to empower a Faith team to brainstorm and oversee when events include food and drink, so there is an efficient means to feed the masses from small groups to large.

If you have gifts for: “helping with food/drink selection”; establishing a list of stores, bakeries, restaurants that can be ordered from; making purchases from a budget; overseeing volunteers (if necessary) who would set-up, serve, bake/cook, and clean up, please contact Pr. Chris.

We need a team of at least 6 people who especially enjoy food and enjoy providing hospitality. Details on the parameters of this team will be determined based on team member ideas and opinions.

PASTOR CHRIS’ REQUEST

I am still learning names and family relationships, so please continue to wear your name tags – especially into Coffee Hour – even if we’ve had numerous conversations. Thank you so much!

The invitation to have one-to-one meetings is still offered too. Perhaps in the New Year, we can learn more about each other.

Book / Magazine Swap

The Women's Circle has created a "book/magazine swap" within the middle book case in the large classroom. Everyone is invited to add books/magazines to the collection and /or swap out some of the books with another one they have read.
