Prayers Requested

It is with sadness that we share the passing of

Rev. Willard Baumgartner on October 12, 2026. A beloved and familiar presence to all three of Faith Lutheran's predecessor congregations, Pastor Baumgartner touched many lives through his ministry, kindness, and faithful service. We give thanks to God for his life and the many ways he shared Christ's love with our communities. Calling Hours will be Thursday, October 15, 2026, 5:00–8:00 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home 45 Franklin Square New Britain, CT 06051.

A service will be held Friday, October 15, 2026 , 10:00 a.m. at

First Lutheran Church 77 Franklin Square New Britain, CT 06051

His obituary and further details may be found at: www.carlsonfuneralhome.com

Please keep his family, friends, and all who loved him in your prayers as we commend him to God's eternal care.

With both sorrow and hope in Christ, we share that Joan Strecker entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. We give thanks to God for her life and entrust her to God's loving care, holding fast to the promise given in holy baptism - that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus.

Let us hold their families and loved ones in prayer during this time of grief.

Funeral arrangements are pending through Funk Funeral Home. https://www.funkfuneralhome.com/

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

As God calls us to pray for one another, there is solace in community. The more we understand what we’re going through, the more we can comfort one another and share experiences. Pastor Chris encourages mutual prayer and care but without being intrusive. She would also like those making additions and deletions to the list to have the loved one’s permission to do so.
