New Members Welcomed on Reformation

Since the inception of Faith Lutheran Church on October 27, 2024, we have welcomed additional folks into our congregation who were not former members of the predecessor churches. 

Our next opportunity to recognize and celebrate new members will be on Reformation Sunday, October 26, 2025, during our worship service through an Affirmation of Baptism rite. This rite is a beautiful way to reflect on how God continues to guide you on your spiritual journey, including bringing you to Faith Lutheran Church.

 If you have been exploring and worshipping with us and would like to join the congregation as a member, please contact Pastor Chris 860-989-3507.

If October 26th doesn’t work for you, we will be offering other times as well.

We hope your spiritual needs are being met here at Faith and that you feel welcomed to participate in any way God is calling you.

A little background on our Pumpkin Patch...

The Pumpkin Patch project is a long-standing, trust-based partnership between growers an over 1,000 organizations across the U.S., including churches, schools, and civic groups. Growers handle all costs and risks-such as theft and spoilage - while partners are trusted to sell pumpkins and fairly report sales. After Hurricane Hugo, operations moved to the Navajo Indian Reservation in Farmington, NM, where 1,200 acres of pumpkins are cultivated and over 700 Native Americans are employed during harvest season, helping reduce unemployment in the region. Since its founding in 1974, the initiative has grown significantly and remains a family-run business, now involving the next generation, and continues to thrive on mutual trust.

As God calls us to pray for one another, there is solace in community. The more we understand what we’re going through, the more we can comfort one another and share experiences. Pastor Chris encourages mutual prayer and care but without being intrusive. She would also like those making additions and deletions to the list to have the loved one’s permission to do so.
