Faith: A Place to Gather and Grow!

If you stop by Faith during the week and notice cars in the parking lot, children in the hallways, or classrooms buzzing with activity, there’s a good reason!

We’re happy to welcome the Redwoods Resource Center, which will be using our building and property Mondays through Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. We also continue to welcome another homeschool group that gathers here two Fridays each month.

The groups will use the Fellowship Hall, Chapel, and classrooms, as well as the Meeting Room on Tuesdays. They bring in their own supplies and materials and, when their day is finished, clear those materials from the spaces so the rooms remain available for our church ministries and other groups.

Sharing our building sometimes means a little more activity and occasionally working around one another—but that’s also a sign that our building is being used! Opening our doors to the community is one of the ways Faith can practice hospitality and be a good neighbor.

If you need to use the Fellowship Hall, Meeting Room, or a classroom before 9:00 a.m. or after 3:00 p.m. on these days, please call the church office to reserve the space. That little step will help us avoid scheduling overlaps and make sharing our building work well for everyone.

So, when you see our homeschool neighbors around Faith, please say hello and help us give them a warm Faith welcome. A busy building can be a wonderful sign of a church whose doors are open to its community!

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

As God calls us to pray for one another, there is solace in community. The more we understand what we’re going through, the more we can comfort one another and share experiences. Pastor Chris encourages mutual prayer and care but without being intrusive. She would also like those making additions and deletions to the list to have the loved one’s permission to do so.
