At Faith, we embrace spontaneity, creativity, and the movement of the Holy Spirit through our Brown Bag Sermon Series. Each week during this series, the pastor is given a surprise object—hidden in a simple brown paper bag—by a member of the congregation. The challenge? To craft a full sermon based on that mystery item, to be preached the following Sunday. This practice invites both preacher and congregation to encounter God's truth in unexpected, everyday places.
The series is built on the idea that God speaks through all things—even the ordinary and overlooked. Whether it's a toy, tool, trinket, or kitchen item, each object becomes a doorway to explore Scripture in new and meaningful ways. As the item is revealed, the congregation is invited to wonder: “What could this possibly teach us about God?” The following week, we gather with curiosity and anticipation, eager to hear how the Spirit has guided the message.
Brown Bag Sermons not only stretch the creativity of the pastor but also open our eyes to the sacredness woven into the fabric of daily life. This approach encourages us all to look for God's presence beyond the pews—on the laundry line, in the junk drawer, or hanging on the wall. As Jesus so often used everyday images to teach eternal truths, so we too listen for divine wisdom in the simple and surprising.

FAITH'S SUMMER YARD SALE -
UPDATE
At this time, Faith has raised $4,800 from our Summer Yard Sale! A terrific update indeed, praise God! The church is so grateful for the help of all the volunteers and shoppers!

BLESSING OF THE BACKPACKS
We encourage all of our young people to come to our worship services on Sunday August 23rd for a blessing of their backpacks as the 2026-2027 school year begins! Come to church and bring their backpacks!

HOLIDAY MARKET FIRST PLANNING MEETING
It's time to start planning another signature church event! Faith's 2026 Holiday Market is on the calendar for November 21st, and our first planning meeting is this Sunday immediately following our 10am worship!
If you'd like to be a volunteer but cannot make the meeting, inform Barbara Rogers or Pastor Jack!

Grief Support Group –
Wednesday Nights
You do not have to walk through grief alone.
Each Wednesday at 6:00 PM, we gather in the Lower Fellowship Hall to support one another in a safe, compassionate space. Together, we review thoughtful material designed to help us process our emotions and gently work through what has us feeling tied up inside.
Grief is not one emotion. You may feel emotional. You may feel happy one moment and sad the next. You may feel relieved, lonely, confused, or even angry.
All of it is welcome here.

MEAL WITH THE MINISTER
Want to spend some time with Pastor Jack?

Each month, we host a nice lunch-time event where all are welcome to come and have a conversation with Pastor Jack!
Join him in our Wilson Hall and have some fellowship!

CHURCH COUNTERS NEEDED!
Our Fiance team is looking for more helpers to count our tithes and offerings from worship. This is an important task for the church, and we want to share the workload and help our team! It's a good, small way to get involved as well.

One of the consistent fundraisers we have for our St. Stephen's Ministry (Mission Fund) is the RaiseRight Gift Card Ministry. This is where each month we place orders for gift cards to some of your favorite stores, restaurants, and brands!
This is an easy way to support our mission fund, receive cards to your favorite places, at no extra cost to anyone!

SOCIAL HOUR SIGN-UPS!
Please join us on Sunday morning in Wilson Hall for refreshments, coffee, and tea at 9am. This is a time in between our two Sunday worship services for everyone to share in some good fellowship time and transition into the next service time!
It's a very easy way to get involved in our worship on Sunday!

FAITH CLOTHING SHED!
We are excited to have a clothing shed on our campus through TurnKey Enterprises. This is a great opportunity for our church and those in our close area to donate used clothes! There is also revenue donated to the church from this organization based on the amount and size donated per month!
Please bring your unused clothes
in tied, plastic bags to the shed!

WE'RE NOW ON YOUTUBE!
In an effort to make our worship services more accessible, the church has created a YouTube channel and begun broadcasting our worship services there every Sunday along with Zoom! Go and share our videos with others so we can get our church out to the whole world!
