with a message on "Pride." Preschool and nursery care will be provided for this special Wednesday service for ages 5 and under.

Pick up a copy of Rebecca DeYoung's book Glittering Vices: A New Look at the Seven Deadly Sins and Their Remedies if you would like to go deeper during Pastor Kevin's next sermon series.  Books are available in the coffee shop and the sanctuary breezeway for a reduced cost of $10.

Registration has already begun for an amazing summer camp experience at Chestnut Ridge in Efland, NC for children in kindergarten through  5th grades.  Email Brian with any questions.

New Short-term Small Group
Join MeLessa Garrison for an engaging discussion on the book by Will Willimon entitled, Fear of the Other:  No Fear in Love .  This 5-week short-term small group will start on Sun, March 12 and be held during our discipleship hour (between both services) in room 136.  Email MeLessa if you are interested in participating and to get a copy of the book (cost is $10).  Chapter 1 will be discussed during the first session.

The next 9-week session of Financial Peace University will be held February 26 - April 30 from 3-5pm in Goley Chapel (room 102).  Contact Kathryn Cummings with questions and to request childcare.

Stop Child Abuse Now
The Exchange Club is a national organization that is dedicated to the improvement of conditions for children and to prevent child abuse. 
First UMC provides a meeting place for special sessions with youth and parents on Thursday
of each week. We also provide a light snack (chips, crackers, etc. and drinks). Contact Richard to sign up your Life group or Sunday School to host one of our upcoming sessions! We need your help and so do these families in need!
Lamplighters is a ministry that is devoted to helping needy families and individuals locally with odds and ends like wheelchair ramps, simple home repairs, and yard assistance for the elderly. We are looking to rekindle this ministry in 2017 and would love help! If you are interested, contact Trey Rice by email here or by calling 336-266-0126.

UMW Mission Focus for February
The UMW Mission Focus for February is the Diaper Bank of North Carolina.  Donations of adult and baby diapers in all sizes may be left on the couch in the church office or given directly to Jeanne Owen.  Read more about the Diaper Bank of NC!
