We have moved to one service, at 9AM for the summer months. The service will be live-streamed on our website. We hope you’ll join us in person or online!
This week in the office we received a heartfelt letter with offering from a gentleman who, for about 5 years, visited Faith Lutheran during the winter months with his wife. Here is an excerpt from his letter:
“… We enjoyed singing the traditional hymns we learned in our youth at Sunday School and church. And we also benefited from the spiritual messages, and at times felt they were targeted specifically for us. The congregation and the Pastors always made us feel welcome by their friendliness.
I don’t expect to visit Sarasota again, however, I do sit in on your Sunday morning service using the internet. Thank you for providing that service…”

It is wonderful to know we are reaching people even across the country with the video ministry. Thank you to all of those who make it possible!

In-person reminders: In an effort to continue to mitigate risk, we are observing the safety practices currently in place, including, the wearing of masks and distance seating.

The registration and check-in process with contact details is still in place. In the event we are notified of COVID-19 contamination, this allows us to be able to contact and advise those who were in attendance.

Thank you for your patience and understanding!
NOVUS WAY MINISTRIES, CHRISTIAN CAMPS & RETREATS - A ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, rooted in the Lutheran faith, we welcome all to share in the experience of our community. Built to become closer to God, we see your time away here at one of our four camps as a chance to refresh before going back into the world to make a difference.

It was especially timely to say a special “Thank You” to the fourteen exceptional teachers at Faith Early Learning Center, who have gone beyond the call this year, to make this challenging pandemic year successful.
As the staff arrived in the morning on May 4th, they were greeted by sidewalk chalk messages prepared by students and parents, "Thank You!" "We Love You", "You Smoke!".
A surprise Breakfast in the Teacher’s Lounge, prepared by the Teacher Appreciation Committee, was enjoyed by all. Thrivent sponsored, Fun Lunch Boxes were personalized for each teacher. Included was a "Teacher Appreciation Letter and a "Dinner Out" gift card sponsored by the board, parents and friends of the school.
"Let us remember: One book, one pen, one child, and one teacher can change the world."

Personalized letters were sent to each staff member. Tami Page was also included in the festivities. She has been so supportive of FELC. Thank you!
LAST CALL FOR BOOKS! Books are still needed for the preschool classrooms. If you would like to support the FELC Book Drive, please visit the table in the narthex and select one or more book titles that you would like to purchase for the preschool.

Please bring your book/s to church by next Sunday, May 23.
(Most titles may be found on Amazon and if you wish, you may have them delivered directly to FELC, 7750 Beneva Road, Sarasota, FL 34238.)
The ELCA offers daily Prayer Ventures, which may be found on their website, The prayer for today is below. Visit the website if you would like to follow the daily prayers!

14 Remember in prayer the leaders, voting members and others gathering online for the assemblies of the Northern Great Lakes, East-Central Wisconsin, Southwestern Washington and Saint Paul Area synods, that the Spirit will strengthen, guide and encourage them in choosing leaders, proclaiming the gospel, growing the church, serving our neighbor and doing God’s work in an ever-changing world.
