Senior Minister
3525 S. Bowen Road
Arlington, TX 76016
Knowing we are One, we celebrate peace,
compassion, and equality for all.
We empower people to live thriving spiritual lives.
From the Minister

Dear Friends,
“Don’t leave home without it.”
You may remember this famous tagline became one of the most successful ad campaigns of all time for a credit card company.
Today, when I think about what I don’t want to leave home without, I think about my cell phone. Why? Because it has a built-in video camera.
Thank goodness, on May 25, 2020, Darnella Frazier didn’t leave home without hers. She is the young woman who had the courage to record the murder of George Floyd. When the video went viral… it changed the course of conversations and protests around the world about police brutality and the use of excessive force.
We’ve heard it said so many times (especially over the last year) that it’s not so much that racism and prejudice are getting worse. It’s being recorded.
Last Friday, the 2021 Pulitzer Prize Announcements were made and included among them was a Special Citation for Miss Frazier.

I can only imagine the stress she’s experienced having witnessed such a horrible side of humanity. And so, I pray she can feel the depth of gratitude from those us who are grateful and inspired by her bravery that day.
There is much for which to be hopeful. We are the ones.
In Love and Unity,
Rev. Anne Tabor
Darnella Frazier is third from right.

Join us online this Father’s Day as we celebrate all fathers and the divine idea of fatherly love. Rev. Anne continues her FaithLift series this week with a special look at the part our spiritual practices (especially the ones we were taught—or not!—growing up) play in the development of our faith. After all, many of our attitudes today are a reflection of the way we were raised. And what began as an “ought to” became a “want to.”

Over and over again we see people go through difficult circumstances yet they come out the other side with rock-solid faith. While we wouldn’t eagerly sign up for these types of challenges they do seem to be the ones that strengthen our faith the most. In her book, Meet It with Faith, Martha Smock writes, “Any one of us can look back on life and recall how something that seemed a great disappointment at the time turned out to be a blessing in disguise.” Join Rev. Anne as she shares with us how to meet these pivotal moments with faith!

Anne, offers spiritual counseling to individuals seeking a deeper under-standing of themselves and their divine power within to solve life's challenges. Spiritual counseling can help if there is a need for inspiration, crisis support, or healing in any area of your life. Prayer and meditation are an integral part of Unity's spiritual principles, and an essential practice in realizing the answers we seek. Principle #1:
There is only one Presence and one Power in the Universe and in my life, God the Good.

Principle #2:
Human beings have a spark of divinity within them, the Christ spirit within.
Their essence is of God, and therefore they are also inherently good.

Principle #3:
Human beings create their experiences by the activity of their thinking.
Everything in the manifest realm has its beginning in thought.

Principle #4:
Prayer is creative thinking that heightens the connection with God Mind and therefore brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity, and everything good.

Principle #5:
Knowing and understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough.
A person must live the truth he or she knows.
Centered in the awareness of God's presence, we turn within for divine guidance in
all we do.
Love is our True Nature. We express the harmonizing power of love to see good everywhere and in everybody. Love binds together the whole human family.
We believe that all people are created with sacred worth. In a spirit of Unity, we embrace each person as an expression of God grounded in truth and love.
We live, love, and laugh from our Oneness with God. We honor our inter-connectedness with each other, with all life, and the earth.
God is our Infinite Source of Good. We gratefully demonstrate prosperity in all areas
of our lives. We wisely use our wealth of resources to serve our spiritual community and the world.
We cultivate enlightened leadership by practicing the teachings of Jesus the Christ through sacred service. It is a blessing to serve locally and globally.
We consciously choose to practice living our Core Values and Unity Principles rather than simply professing them. We choose to communicate from the heart with authenticity and deliver on our commitments with reliability.
