A MESSAGE FROM MISS LAURA

This will be the last week for the PrayGround during the Advent Holden Evening Prayer on Wednesday at 6:30 PM. After the service, the cherubs can take their Nativity scene home. Hope to see you there! For the soup supper at 5:30 PM, I’m making my white chili recipe! Yum! Come and enjoy it with me!

As we continue to prepare for the birth of our Savior, this weeks FaithTrek lesson was about John the Baptist, cousin to Jesus. The theme was authority - what it was and where it came from. Here’s an activity from this week’s Family Page to augment our lesson: Who do we let be in charge today and why?

Our Talent Show on Sunday sure was fun! Thank you to everybody for participating and donating, as the proceeds will go towards the summer accompaniment trips and camp scholarships.

At 11:00 AM on Christmas Eve Day there will be a community service for ALL families - whether they have a church home or not! The service will be around 30 minutes in length and will include a “pop up” nativity play, with carols, followed by cookies and hot cocoa! Do you have friends and families who you can invite?!!

When families and children arrive, they will be asked if they want to wear a costume for the nativity play. To make the experience welcoming and inviting for our new visitors and families, I’m asking if any of y’all want to bring your families to the 11:00 AM service. We also need some greeters, and who wouldn't be friendlier to see when they come in than kids from our church? Thank you to the Schawangs for offering to come already! Please note - keep in mind that this is in addition to the cherubs’ regularly scheduled musical performance at the 3:30 pm Christmas Eve service.

Don’t forget to bring back your “piggy banks” with any coins in it on Christmas Eve for the Global Barnyard!

I will need teachers in January for the winter session. Ms. Roxy will be having her baby soon and we will need to cover the Kindergarten and the 3-5 year old class. Here’s the link to sign up - FaithTrek Teacher Sign Up. Y’all are fabulous!!
