Brrr it’s cold out here - there must be some Lutherans in the atmosphere! That was my theme as I was shoveling pine needles into paper sacks at church on Sunday morning. Thank you to the cherubs and parents who braved the bone-chilling wind, and dare I say it, a flurry or two!
On Friday, November 21, First Lutheran is hosting a Parent’s Night Out. If you have kiddos ages 3 through 5th grade, bring them to the Activity Center between 5:30-9 PM and the middle and high schoolers (with adults, as well!) will entertain them with dinner, games and a movie while you enjoy a night out! It’s a great way to get some errands done, or take an uninterrupted nap. It’s open to more than just First families, so if there’s anyone you would like to hang out with, they can bring their cherubs as well. The cost is $15.00 per child.
On Sunday, November 23, we will have an all-age, all-family Advent activity held in the Activity Center from 9:30-10:15 AM. We will be decorating lanterns that will go on our “tree” in the Sanctuary during Advent. Join us! It will be fun!
After the 10:45 AM worship service on Sunday, December 14, we will be holding an All-Congregational Christmas Talent Show as a fundraiser for the middle school/high school summer accompaniment trips, as well as camp scholarships for the smaller cherubs. Anyone can sign up and there will be a $10.00 entry fee per act and a free will offering for the lunch provided.
I adopted a dog this weekend!!!!
