PWRDF
congratulates
FaithWorks
_______
I and all of us at PWRDF are delighted to congratulate FaithWorks on its 25th Anniversary. There are many great ministries and agencies across the Greater Toronto Area that have been supported in such good ways over this quarter century. The work of Flemingdon Park Ministry, the outreach of All Saints Church and Community Centre Toronto, the support for youth in the Dam are just a few of the ministries that reflect how FaithWorks has shown and continues to show compassion and justice through its work within the Diocese of Toronto.
The goals of reaching out to the most vulnerable are even more important now in this pandemic time as the inequities of our society are further and further revealed.
The Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund is grateful for the collaboration and support of FaithWorks and the Diocese of Toronto. With the support of FaithWorks, PWRDF has been able to train midwives and support safe birth with the Anglican Diocese of Masasi in Tanzania, increase access to safe water and sanitation in First Nations communities in Canada, support quality education in Kenya and provide diagnostic equipment to communities in Rwanda, all to support maternal and newborn child health, so foundational for communities around the world.
PWRDF is grateful that the Diocese of Toronto, through Faithworks, understands that living out the Marks of Mission has both local and global dimensions; that our 'neighbours' are both around the corner and around the world.
Congratulations to FaithWorks for your continued support to PWRDF and so many other Anglican-affiliated agencies and for inspiring so many within the Diocese of Toronto to care for communities and people in need.
Sincerely,
Will Postma, Executive Director
Valerie Maier, President – PWRDF Board of Director
