Faithful and Just!!! 8/6/23

Matthew 8:4 (KJV)
4  And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

Matthew 16:20 (KJV)
20  Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.

Matthew 17:9 (KJV)
9  And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.

Mark 7:36 (KJV)
36  And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it;

Mark 8:26 (KJV)
26  And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town.

In the above Scriptures I quote the Lord Jesus telling many to “NOT TELL” anyone of His marvelous miracles.........

I have, over the many years of reading my Bible, often wondered WHY???????????????

WHY would the Lord Jesus request anonymity????????????

Aren't we required to publish the Name of Jesus and proclaim His wondrous works?????

My conclusion is this: Jesus desired NO earthy fame or fortune, NO fawning crowds worshiping and declaring His mere humanity!!!!

Jesus was quite simply carrying out the Works of His Father!!!

Luke 2:49 (KJV)
49  And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?
John 6:38 (KJV)
38  For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

Matthew 6:1-4 (KJV)
1  Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

2  Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

3  But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

4  That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

In THIS life, so many of US desire human recognition and human applause and human acclaim-Jesus neither sought nor needed human attention.

Truly, Jesus embodied the oft popular human declaration-”GIVE GOD THE GLORY!!”

WE spend too much of THIS life seeking personal fame and fortune. Just a casual reading of the Book of Ecclesiastes declares the futility of human endeavor:

Please read the First Chapter of Ecclesiastes as Solomon declares over and over:

Ecclesiastes 1:1-8 (KJV)
1  The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem.
2  Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.
3  What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun?
4  One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever.
5  The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose.
6  The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits.
7  All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.
8  All things are full of labour; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.
Hear his final and conclusive thoughts on THIS life:

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13  Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

14  For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Hear Job's accurate assessment of THIS life:

Job 5:7 (KJV)
7  Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.

Job 14:1 (KJV)
1  Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.

I write these words today-not to discourage or frighten you-but to proclaim the antidote:

John 16:33 (KJV)
33  These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Many, if not most of my contacts with others in THIS life, are negative-so MANY of YOU are hurting.

I, myself, AWOKE (PRAISE THE LORD FOR AWAKENING AGAIN!) to a broken 72 year old tooth!!! SMILE!! THANK GOD I still have teeth-AMEN!!??

After suffering through ANOTHER rough night of interrupted “sleep” I am THANKFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Philippians 4:4 (KJV)
4  Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

Philippians 4:6 (KJV)
6  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

An oft neglected part of the above Scripture is the tiny Words “WITH THANKSGIVING.”

TODAY, “WITH THANKSGIVING,

LET YOUR REQUESTS BE KNOWN UNTO GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

1 John 1:9 (KJV)
9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

NUFF SAID!!!!

God Bless You Today!!!!!
