Bring the Pro-Democracy Movement to Your Church
UCC Environmental Justice
- Protests, marches, and rallies are vitally needed in democratic societies, but what happens the day after these public events and then the next day?
- What’s the long-term strategy for everyday people to exercise their power to influence their government?
Your church can learn about the pro-democracy movement in a couple of ways.
- Invite Sam Daley-Harris, the author of Reclaiming Our Democracy, to give a Zoom presentation for members of your church. Daley-Harris is coaching UCC leaders to start Climate Hope Affiliates that are actively engaged in developing ongoing relationships with members of Congress as part of a broader pro-democracy movement to defend government institutions like the Environmental Protection Agency.
- Request a presentation from a member of the Climate Hope Affiliate Leadership Team. As people of faith, we have the opportunity to help defend and promote the common good in our society.

We offer this time so our clergy are able to continue to serve our congregations and communities with integrity and vitality, and to respond to the call of God with courage and compassion.

Is Your Congregation Struggling?
You are not alone. Many congregations these days are facing:
- Shrinking numbers
- Lack of younger people
- Struggles with change
- Financial sustainability
- Church conflict
- Volunteer burnout
- Aging buildings and grounds
- Increasing pastoral care needs of aging members
Our powerful Convergence
Vitality Assessment reveals the complete picture of your congregational situation and illuminates a path to where you want to be.
Let’s start the conversation. Contact Rev. Dr. Anna Hall, to discuss how we can assist you.

Convergence Vitality Assessment
The Convergence Vitality Assessment was developed in 2017 using peer-reviewed research on every dimension of vitality in congregations, nonprofits, and business organizations, and refined through our work with hundreds of congregations.
Real Results
Hope United Church of Christ in Naperville, used the data and recommendations to improve its vitality. They built relationships with participants and newcomers through digital ministry and improving welcome, partnered with local community organizations, and increased building use income by 250%. They also worked to focus their congregational energy on doing fewer things and doing those with excellence by consolidating several teams and adjusting worship offerings. Worship attendance this year is 12%-17% higher than last year, and giving is up 5.6%. Their pastor says, “I think we are already seeing the fruits of this work, and there is a positive spirit and energy here.”
Are you ready to move your congregation from struggling to thriving?

Reimagining What Comes Next
Convergence
October 23 & 30, 2025
November 13 & 20, 2025
6 pm CT - 90-minute sessions via Zoom
We are living through the unraveling of many old stories—about who we are, why we’re here, and how we are meant to live together on this Earth.
As these inherited narratives collapse under the weight of the climate crisis, social fragmentation, and spiritual disconnection, the question becomes clear: What story will guide us now?
Each 90-minute gathering will explore what it means to search for a new story—one rooted in interconnection, courage, sacred imagination, and collective renewal. Together we will explore the spiritual, social, and cosmological terrain of transformation. This is not about easy answers or quick fixes. It’s an invitation into the deep work of reimagining—together—what comes next.
