Walk-A-Thon was Ayer-mazing
Thank you to our entire community for supporting our school with $63,201 in donations through our Walk-A-Thon! Our students and staff had the best day celebrating in "The Great Outdoors" as they met creatures from Cool Critters Outreach, played on huge inflatables, participated in a fun run, danced, enjoyed snow cones and a picnic lunch, and spent the day outside. We want to thank all of the volunteers who donated countless hours of service to make our Walk-A-Thon a huge success -- you are incredible!
We're Thrilled to Announce...
Our PTA budget will be fully funding the construction of an outdoor classroom for our students! Plus, we'll be updating our playground's basketball goals and swings! Pictured here is a rendering of the outdoor classroom design. This wonderful new addition to our Ayer campus will be installed by spring. We are so excited to be able to provide these improvements that will be enjoyed by ALL students at Ayer. THANK YOU for your support!
October is Principal Appreciation Month
We are so fortunate to have two outstanding administrators leading the way at Ayer. Our Principal, Ms. Heather Hoelle, and our Assistant Principal, Ms. Joy O'Brien, are tireless in their dedication to our students and staff. Their enthusiasm and caring leadership light up the hallways at Ayer. Ms. Hoelle and Ms. O'Brien, thank you for all you do. We appreciate you!

Time for the Book Fair!
Each year, Ayer students look forward to the Scholastic Book Fair -- a fun opportunity to shop for books they choose for themselves. This year's Book Fair will run from November 3-9. Every purchase from the Book Fair earns rewards for our school, so please stop by and support us! Check out this interactive flyer for more info about the books available. You can simplify the shopping process for your child by setting up an eWallet. We're also looking for volunteers to help staff this great event.

What is 9United?
9United is a nonprofit that seek to provide the students and families of FHSD with authentic service opportunities that impact the lives of their fellow students, families, neighbors, and community.
Shop & Share
We hope you'll join us in the annual 9United Shop & Share campaign to fulfill the needs of families in the Forest Hills School District. How can you help?

Coin Wars: Ayer students can bring in coins and cash the week of November 15-19. Each grade competes for the most number of coins. Coins count towards each grade's total; paper money counts against another grade's total! The winning grade earns bragging rights, and everyone learns they can help their community with even a small contribution. All coins and cash benefit the Shop & Share campaign.

Go Shopping: You can shop for specific items needed by families in our community. We'll be collecting items at school the week of November 15-19. Stay tuned for details coming soon!

Anderson Theater Presents...
Anderson Theatre opens a new season with The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee!

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a Tony-winning musical comedy that centers on six awkward spelling champions competing for top honors in a spelling bee run by three equally-quirky grown-ups. Featuring a fast-paced, wildly funny, and touching book by Rachel Sheinkin and a fun and vibrant score by William Finn, this bee is easily one of the most enjoyable musicals that you will ever be a part of. Yes, that’s right—each night, a few audience members will have the chance to compete along side the performers…at least for a while! Will you be up to the test? This delightful and heart-felt musical will send you home with a grin, a song, and a juice box. Hilarious. H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S Hilarious!

Performances are November 19 & 20 (7 p.m.) and November 21 (3 p.m.) in Anderson High School's Titus Auditorium. Tickets are $10 and on sale now. You can use this order form or buy your tickets online. Click here to find out more about the season.
Help Renovate Titus Auditorium
Your Anderson High School Performing Arts faculty and support groups are thrilled to announce exciting renovations to Titus Auditorium that are long overdue. Titus Auditorium is home to students participating in the performing arts -- drama, band, orchestra, and chorus -- and has also been used in the past for Ayer's 6th grade end-of-the-year ceremony. The bold vision for this facility is one that will honor our community's rich history, thank generous patrons, and most importantly, recognize the current students who share their tremendous talents on stage in Titus Auditorium year after year! Click the links below to check out Titus' Vision for the Future and how you can get in on the action.
