Upcoming: Back to School Night

TUESDAY, AUGUST 29, 2017

6:30-8:00 P.M.

St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish Hall

Our first parent meeting of the year will take place on 8/29. Please be sure to have at least one parent present. Our Parent Board will present a lot of important information, you will get to meet the staff, and you will have the chance to visit your child's new classroom. If your child will be playing on a school sports team, you must attend a brief meeting with Coach Basurto at 6:00, just before the main meeting.

Thanks to the whole school community, we had a wonderful kick-off to the new school year!
Please remember to encourage your child to audition for the Variety/Talent Show this week. Students who are selected will make a commitment to perform their act several times in mid-October. We look forward to seeing what our talented students will do this year.
We kindly ask that if you will be walking your child to AM Daycare, you park your car at the end of the lot past the cones. The cones are there to protect our students who are walking to daycare or down to the lunch tables. No cars are allowed to park in that area. Thank you so much for observing this drop-off regulation.

ENRICHMENT REGISTRATION DUE THIS WEEK!

Spaces are still available for Bricks 4 Kidz, Robotics, Folklorico, and Chess enrichment. Each of these enrichment opportunities will make a positive impact on your child and help to create a well rounded young person. Spanish and Theater enrichment will be announced soon! Please make sure to send in your registration forms this week. Enrichment classes start after Labor Day.

Remember that EACH TUESDAY is 2PM dismissal.

First Day of Junior High

We are so proud of our new 6th graders who are learning how to deal with the challenges of Junior High. They will be old pros in no time!

Dominican Corner

The Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose were asked to start a school for the children of St. Ignatius Parish in 1922. Each of the wonderful sisters pictured here was at one time a principal at our school. We owe them our deepest gratitude for establishing a school that is still filled with the Dominican spirit and continues to be a vital part of the Highland Park community.
