Calling All Families! Please come out on Thursday, September 14th for a night of food and friendship. We had a wonderful time last year, and we'd like to see everyone there on Thursday night to share in another great SI tradition.
This will be a potluck dinner and each family is asked to bring a dish.

Happy Birthday to Our School
On September 5th, we celebrated St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish School's 95 Birthday. Schwartz Catering provided delicious cupcakes with Falcon Blue frosting. How blessed are we that St. Ignatius has been around to educate generations of children for the last 95 years! 100 will be here before we know it!
Our First School Mass of the Year
Together with our pastor, Fr. Edwin, we celebrated the first school mass of the year. The 8th graders set a wonderful example as readers, altar servers, and ushers.

Dominican Corner
Who started the Dominican Order? St. Dominic! He was born in Spain to noble parents, however, he was not as interested in being part of the Spanish nobility as he was in preaching the Gospel, encouraging people to pray the Rosary, and focusing on education.
Our Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose are part of the Dominican family of the Order of Preachers which includes monks, sisters, and priests who work throughout the world.

We are sad to announce that Fr. Edwin's companion and good friend, Nico, passed away recently. Nico has been with Fr. Edwin since just after he arrived at St. Ignatius. He will be missed by everyone at the parish, and especially by his best pal, Fr. Edwin.

Have you met Sandy and Mary of Schwartz Catering? They can be found each morning in the cafeteria kitchen cooking away.
