A Message from the Superintendent

Happy Friday Falcon Families!
We hope that you are enjoying the beautiful days we’ve been experiencing. Even the cold and rain are welcomed days in anticipation of the 100+ degree heat looming on the horizon.
Our COVID numbers have decreased significantly over the past several weeks with very few instances of COVID in our schools. We would like to encourage you to bring your children back to school for in-person learning. With the vaccines and precautions that we follow, we are confident that we will be able to continue on the right path of wellness for everyone.
  • The Governing Board will be sending out a survey to the stakeholders of the district to begin the strategic planning process. When you receive the link to the survey, please take a few moments to complete it. This will help with guiding the work of the district in the next several years through goal development and establishment of guiding principles and beliefs. You’ll receive a flyer when the survey is ready for your attention.
  • We are completing our new online annual registration and new student enrollment process through PowerSchool. You’ll be able to complete new student enrollments as well as existing student annual registrations all online. Please watch for directions in the next couple of weeks on how to register your students for next school year.
  • Parent Teacher Conferences are coming up for grades K-8 on March 11-12th.
  • Spring Break is March 15-19th!!
In speaking with the sheriff’s office, we are seeing an increase in the use of edibles and vape pens in the community. The CDC has some quick facts on the use of
e-cigarette/vaping devices by children. Click here for the link to the article. There are many other articles at HealthyChildren.org about the use of vaping devices and edibles by children. Please reach out to one of our counselors or school administrators should you need additional assistance regarding either one of these topics. We’re happy to help.
Have a wonderful weekend!
