Welcome From  The
 Interim District Administrator

Please allow me to introduce myself.  My name is Milton Thompson and I have the privilege of serving the staff, parents and students at Westosha Central School District.  My goal as the Interim District Administrator is to do whatever I can to help the district through its transition from an excellent superintendent to its next excellent district leader.

I am impressed already with some of what I have seen in the school district.  For example, on Friday night my wife Peggy and I attended a theatrical presentation of "Once Upon A Mattress".  The excellent student performances were very impressive to us.  Everything about the performance highlighted one of many areas of strength that I will find within the school district.  I hope to be highly visible, visiting classrooms and events during my time here. I will work with the School Board and help them in any way that I can to make this a smooth transition. Thanks to the arrangements made by the Board, the  transition will be greatly assisted by the fact that I will be able to work alongside Dr. Scott Pierce until he retires from his post Dec. 31, after 11 years.  "He was a mentor of mine when we worked together in Kenosha and I am sure that his leadership will be missed.
District Administrator Search - Update

Five separate Focus Groups - Administrators, Support Staff, Professional Staff, Board, and Community Groups - met on November 28 to determine qualities for the new district administrator. The applicant deadline is Monday, December 31, with the selection and interview process to be held in January. The board hopes to name the new district administrator by the end of February.

For additional information on the entire process, please contact Administrative Assistant Kim Hole at: HoleK@westosha.k12.wi.us.
