A Message from the Superintendent
Happy Friday Falcon Families.
It is our hope that this finds your family healthy, happy, and enjoying the holidays. We have one more week left of school until the holiday break.
The links to the Spring Return to Learning plans for each school are below. The changes in the guidelines from CDC have been updated and highlighted in yellow for ease of use.
All students will be learning via remote instruction the week of January 4-8, 2021. Breakfast and lunch will be available for pick up at McDowell Mountain Elementary School during the week. This schedule will come to you next week.
We monitor data from the Maricopa County Public Health Department (https://www.maricopa.gov/5594/School-Metrics) on the data dashboard to include our town, district (includes Ft. McDowell), and surrounding communities weekly. The FHUSD website has a COVID website compiling the school data at https://www.fountainhillsschools.org/COVID-19-Dashboard. As you may see from the Maricopa dashboard, it is recommended that we provide hybrid instruction for all schools across the district until our metrics change. If you look at our school district dashboard, the number of students with positive COVID cases are low. Before we make the decision as to how we are going to reopen schools after the holiday break, we want to look at the current data from the county and town. We’ll use the week of January 4th to assess the state of the town, district, and county to make a determination of the instructional model.
Thank you to those of you that completed the instructional model preference survey. That is really helpful for us. If you haven’t completed the survey, please go to this link https://forms.gle/q4qcC8fUMSvz1T4EA. While today is the deadline, we’ll leave the survey open through Sunday so that you can complete it if you have not already done so.
Enjoy your weekend.
