Principal's Message April 5, 2019

At a breakfast meeting last week, I shared with the Four Peaks Rotary Club the reasons why I nominated Mrs. Sarah Erickson for the honor of Rotary Club's Teacher of the month. Here are just some of the reasons why we are lucky to have Mrs. Erickson as part of our FHMS family:
Mrs. Erickson is a highly dedicated and enthusiastic member of the Fountain Hills Middle School staff. She performs her role as a 6th grade Math teacher with a passion for both the subject and students. She has embraced Beyond Textbooks and implemented reteach for students that struggle to learn the standards the first time.
Mrs. Erickson also serves as a team leader for the 6th grade team. In this capacity, she has demonstrated an ability to advocate for her team and support the mission and vision of the school. Mrs. Erickson is a true leader.
As the Principal of a school, it is critical that I develop and maintain quality teacher leaders to ensure the students the best education possible. Mrs. Erickson is one of the young leaders that helps keep FHMS moving in a positive direction. Thank you, Mrs. Erickson, for all you do!

8th Grade Camp Surf Trip
We are very excited about our 8th grade trip to Camp Surf at Imperial Beach, CA, which will take place May 20-22, 2019. For those students who have already paid their $100 deposit, the remaining balance will be due on or before April 30, 2019. Installment payments can be made until that date. As a reminder, the total trip cost is $300 per student. If you are not sure of your balance, please call the office at 480.664.5411 for the amount due.
A parent meeting will be held Wednesday, May 1 at 7:00 pm at Fountain Hills Middle School. At that time, parents will be given important forms and additional information in regards to the trip to the San Diego area.
