A Message from the Superintendent
Happy Friday Falcons,
We’ve had a great week of having our students back on campus. I’ve witnessed so much great work by our staff that are not only teaching our in-person students but connecting and teaching our remote learners. We’d really like to see more of our students on campus. It’s our hope that many of you will begin to transition your students from remote learning to in-person learning. We MISS all of our students.
A huge thank you to the parents as well as WINGS of Fountain Hills for the wonderful personalized and hand-written notes that you have been providing to our staff across the buildings. We are so grateful that you’ve shared your appreciation with our staff. Thank you a million times!
Just a couple of updates:
Arizona State Testing: We are required to have every child in our district take the AZM2 in person. In the upcoming weeks, please look for the testing schedules and locations for the remote and virtual academy students. This is a federal requirement and, according to Arizona Department of Education, not negotiable. We will be doing our best to facilitate schedules and locations that will keep your children (virtual/remote) safe while taking their state assessments.
Committee Work: We have many committees engaging in work in the district. All the committees are encouraged to have parents participate to provide meaningful feedback as we develop systems and plans for the district. The committees are technology, emergency preparedness plans, equity/equality/tolerance, registration/withdrawal processes, and attendance. If you are interested in serving on any of the committees, please send me an email, email@example.com, and I’ll help getting you connected to the proper leader of the committee.
Have a wonderful weekend.
