More Quarter 1 Awesomeness

In this issue, we continue to catch up on sharing our Quarter 1 events!

FHHS Homecoming Parade

On September 18, MMES participated in the FHHS Homecoming Parade. Student Council and Falcon Leaders showed their Falcon spirit. Thank you to sponsors Ms. Elder and Ms. Smart, parent volunteers, and Tractor Supply Co.!

Preschool Ice Cream Social

On September 19, MMES Preschool held its traditional Ice Cream Social with ice cream sundaes, games, and other fun activities. It was a great turn-out! Thank you, preschool staff and families!

Second Grade Fine Arts Night

On September 24, MMES held its first Fine Arts Night of the year with 2nd grade's art show and music concert, "Fall Fun"! First was the art show where 2nd graders' autumn art was on display with their artist's statements and visitors wrote artist fan letters. Thank you, art teacher, Tracy Perry for your amazing work with MMES students!

Following the art show on Second Grade Fine Arts Night was the music performance of "Fall Fun" directed by MMES music teacher, Richa Perkins! Second graders performed a variety of autumn songs including one with ukuleles!

First Grade Fine Arts Night will be next on December 10 including  their music concert, "Fun at Santa's Workshop" and a performance with the Fountain Hills Community Chorus! We're very excited about our partnership with FHCC and if you would like to see their full concert on December 8 or 9, information is on the poster to the right and you can order tickets online at

FHPTO Scholastic "Arctic Adventure" Book Fair

The week before fall break, FHPTO held the Scholastic "Arctic Adventure" Book Fair including a winter-themed dress up day, winter decor, Snowball Breakfast, and contests. Even Pete the Cat and Dogman came! Families bought lots of books and other great stuff, and FHPTO raised funds for books for every teacher and our library. Thank you, FHPTO!

One of FHPTO's book fair contests was the winter-themed coloring contest! The talented winners got to choose a book from the fair:
