AzMERIT Spirit Week: March 26-29

In April, MMES 3rd graders will take the state assessment, AzMERIT.   Two weeks before the test window begins, the entire school is going to show their support for our 3rd graders with Spirit Week including a pep assembly and the dress-up days listed below:   
 
Tuesday, March 26: Falcon Day and AzMERIT/Trustworthiness Pep Assembly
Everyone will show their school spirit by wearing Falcon colors at our  2:15 AzMERIT pep assembly that will kick off Spirit Week.



Wednesday, March 27: College Ready Day
We're getting ready for college! Wear college/university colors/shirts or grad robes.




Thursday, March 28: Career Ready Day
We're getting ready for careers! What do you want to be when you grow up? Dress as your dream job.


 

Friday, March 29: Book Character Day
Learning to read is the key to the future! Dress as your favorite character from a book to show how much you love reading.

3rd Grade AzMERIT Test Schedule

The 3rd grade AzMERIT state assessment will consist of 5 test sessions spread out between April 8-26 from 9:00-11:00 each day:  
 
English Language Arts: Writing (approx. 45-90 min.)
Mathematics, Part 1 (approx. 50-85 min.)
Mathematics, Part 2 (approx. 50-85 min.)
ELA: Reading, Part 1 (approx. 45-75 min.)
ELA: Reading, Part 2 (approx. 45-75 min.)

Thursday, April 11: Reading Part 1
Monday, April 15: Reading Part 2
Thursday, April 18: Math Part 1
Wednesday, April 24: Math Part 2
