AzMERIT Spirit Week

Next week, 3rd grade starts their AzMERIT testing with the entire MMES staff and student body behind them!  We showed our support during AzMERIT Spirit Week during March 26-29.  Below are some highlights!

We kicked off Spirit Week with Falcon Day and our AzMERIT/Trustworthiness Pep Assembly on March 26.  This included Student Council's test-taking strategy cheer and Falcon Leaders' presentation on the Character Counts trait of Trustworthiness.  Student Council even made posters to encourage our third graders.

March 27 was College Ready Day when MMES Falcons showed they were ready for college by wearing college/university shirts and other collegiate clothing!

March 28 was Career Ready Day with everyone dressing up as their dream job.  What do you want to be when you grow up?

Last was March 29 with Book Character Day.  We showed our love for reading by dressing up as our favorite characters.  Reading is the key to the future!


 
 


 
3rd Grade AzMERIT Test Schedule

The 3rd grade AzMERIT state assessment will consist of 5 test sessions spread out between April 8-26 from 9:00-11:00 each day:  
 
English Language Arts: Writing (approx. 45-90 min.)
Mathematics, Part 1 (approx. 50-85 min.)
Mathematics, Part 2 (approx. 50-85 min.)
ELA: Reading, Part 1 (approx. 45-75 min.)
ELA: Reading, Part 2 (approx. 45-75 min.)
