Dear FHUSD Families and Friends,
As the 2018-19 school year concludes with tonight’s high school graduation ceremony, I would like to congratulate the class of 2019 and all family members, friends and educators who contributed to this significant moment for our students. I hope it has been an amazing and rewarding journey. High school graduation is a pivotal event in the lives of young people as it serves as both as an important goal accomplishment and a launch point to the next phase of adult life, post-secondary learning, and career pathways.
The class of 2019 has experienced some profound changes since starting kindergarten in 2007, specifically in the explosion of technology and the social media world. In 2007 there was no Instagram, Twitter was just in its first year, Facebook was only a few years old and it was the year the first iPhone was introduced. Today this technology and many other social media platforms and apps play powerful roles in the lives of students. I’m sure the class of 2019 will have much to contribute to the next wave of impactful generational advancements.
This is the final Falcon Focus for the school year and I would like to provide FHUSD parents with the opportunity to give feedback about district academic and extracurricular programs, communication, culture and climate, leadership and future direction. Please see this link
to a parent survey and the opportunity to contribute to the development of strategies for how FHUSD continues to achieve and celebrate educational excellence.
Have a wonderful summer.
Robert Allen, Ed.D.
