Need to Know
In July, Gov. Tony Evers signed into law the 2021-23 state budget. In it was $111.73 million in capital funds for the newest addition to UWRF: the Science and Technology Innovation Center (SciTech). Rep. Shannon Zimmerman shares the impact SciTech will have on graduates and the community. View video here.
In (and Out of) the Classroom
Check out what all the buzz is about as UWRF is now a certified Bee Campus. The UWRF Bee Club raised funds for the Bee Campus USA application and the grounds maintenance and facilities departments helped make campus as bee-friendly as possible. Read more. 
Kate Creutzinger, Grace Lewis and Luis Peña-Lévano represent the first tenure-track faculty on campus funded by the Dairy Innovation Hub. The new positions are 60% research and outreach and 40% teaching. Read more.
The UWRF Equine Breeding Program recently collaborated with Wisconsin 4-H educators to develop an outreach program called Foaling Around with Wisconsin 4-H. Read more.
